Colour is Spilling Out

I find myself in a new season where I am seeing things differently and colour is spilling out of me. As I paint I build upon marks made in previous layers of paint. These marks sometimes hinder the progress of the pallet knife allowing colours used before to peek through; adding depth and beauty to the work. Now of course if those marks are not dry or ‘healed’, then they would make a mess and we don’t want that!

Let’s allow God to shine His light upon our wounds and bring healing.  Then they can add to our colour.  And we can become beautiful.

I believe after all the trauma in the world today the glory of the Lord will shine through. God is ushering in a season of beauty, of new colour and light.  His light.

“To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
Isaiah 61:3
