Poetry / Prayers My Sustaining Thought Father, You are my sustaining thought. It is in you and only in you I find my life. Hidden and from view I find myself in You Deeply wound Rooted Sustained Found Billowing storms and a deluge of resistance And often despair But you are there Holding me tight, gently pulling me on. There are no words, no thread, or colour from the tube, sufficient enough to express such a deep connection. Just silent contemplation. A knowing – unconfined Inexplicably – entwined.
